The Historic Circuit (Northern Route): This is the most popular route, taking travelers through Ethiopia’s ancient Christian history and mountain landscapes, often starting in Addis Ababa.

- Gondar, the Camelot of Africa: This town was once the royal capital of Ethiopia and has Portuguese influence on churches and castles. Attractions include the 17th-century royal castles of Fasil Ghebbi and the Debre Birhan Selassie church.
- Simien & Bale Mountains: Trekking, breathtaking scenery, and Gelada baboons. You may also see Ethiopian Wolf and Walia ibex
- Axum: This town is located in Tigray region. It’s the birthplace and holiest city of the Ethiopian Orthodox church. Attractions include an ancient stelae and Church of St. Mary of Zion.
- Lalibela: UNESCO World Heritage rock-hewn churches. These are 11 churches carved by hand into red mountains and are connected by a warren of tunnels. It is a magnet for pilgrimages.
- Omo Valley Circuit (Southern Route): This region is rich with culture. There are many tribes along the Omo River including Mursi (lip plates), Hamer (bull jumping), Karo, and Dassanech. They have colorful local markets e.g. Turmi and Jinka.
- Danakil Depression (Northeast): This is the hottest inhabited place on earth, featuring the Erta Ale active lava lake, Dallol sulfur springs, and salt flats. The average temperature is 35 degrees Celsius
