Experiences
Balloon Safaris
Game viewing from the Sky! This is one of the life changing safari experiences. You start your balloon safari at dawn when the wind is calm and as the sun starts to rise. The balloon floats for approximately an hour. During the flight, you have the great moments enjoying game viewing and witnessing the sunrise aloft. It also offers you great photographic opportunities. Land to a champagne breakfast in the bush.
Guided Walking Safaris
An African Walking safari is the most natural way to see this pristine wilderness. You can have short or long walking safaris based on your level of physical fitness. Walking can allow you to get close to the game, and experience the wildlife from a more natural level. Botanical and tracking walks are equally fascinating. You get to learn about medical herbs, identify animal tracks and you can encounter very small animals and insects that you may have missed on a game drive.
Cultural Visits
We cannot talk about Africa without talking about her people. There are so many unique cultural experiences across Africa. Modernization has changed a lot but Africa is lucky as most of the tribes have protected their culture from other influences. Some of the most popular tribes include the Masai, the Samburu, the Hadzabe, the Borana, the Turkana, the Datoga, the Batwa, among others
Scenic Helicopter Flights
These are some of the most unique yet exciting moments ever. These excursions may include flying over the lakes (Magadi, Bogoria, Baringo, Naivasha, Nakuru, Turkana) or mountains e.g. Mt. Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro. You have stops for a picnic lunch or sundowner, you can swim and/ or fish at some of the stops. Fly camping by helicopter in Turkana is one of the most life changing and amazing experiences in the world. This experience can only be felt after participating in one. The pilots are professional guides and will explain all the amazing scenery to you.
A Gorilla moment
Mountain gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei) are a critically endangered species and are only found in the mountains shared by Rwanda, Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo. The protected areas are Volcanoes National Park, Bwindi National Park, Mgahinga National Park and Virunga National Park. Gorilla trekking is for sure a life-changing and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Daily visits have an impact on gorilla activity patterns and are a source of animal stress – therefore the firm justification for the “only spend one-hour” rule. This activities requires a good level of physical fitness and gorilla family allocation is usually based on the fitness levels.
House Boat
A Tusitiri Dhow Lamu safari is an enchanting coastal experience. You can have it as a relaxed safari or an eventful tour while sailing on Tusitiri. Some of the inclusions are: accommodation on the boat, Snorkel the coral reefs, Paddleboard in quiet lagoons and mangrove creeks, Deep-sea fishing and creek fishing, Water-ski and wake-board, Walk, relax and picnic on pristine beaches, Sundowner drinks on beaches or sand dunes. You also get an chance to explore the narrow streets and sites of Lamu and Shela, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Mobile Camping Safaris
Mobile safaris have become incredibly popular, as you journey through remote parts of Africa, totally alone apart from the camp crew who move your luxury camp whilst you are game viewing during the day. Mobile safaris tend to move into new territory every 2 – 3 days, and purposefully explore the most untouched areas of wilderness – so you will have unrivalled game viewing, and will not see another soul.
