Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your driver, who will assist with your luggage and brief you on the journey ahead. You will then be transferred to Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant capital, for your first night’s stay at the comfortable Fairway Hotel.
After checking in, you’ll have time to unwind and enjoy the hotel’s amenities, perhaps taking a stroll in the lush garden or enjoying a refreshing drink on the terrace. In the evening, you’ll meet with the friendly staff from Achieve Global Safaris for a detailed briefing on the upcoming safari, covering the itinerary, safety tips, and what to expect during your adventure.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, depart from Entebbe with your knowledgeable guide, who will share insights as you travel west towards Kibale Forest National Park. The scenic journey takes you through lush countryside, passing small villages and farms, providing a glimpse into local life.
Continue to Kibale Forest, arriving at your lodge, which offers stunning 360º views of the ancient volcanic terrain and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. Overnight stay at Chimpanzee Forest Guesthouse, where you’ll prepare for the chimpanzee trekking adventure ahead.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Visit
In the morning, embark on a thrilling chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest. As you navigate through the lush jungle, you’ll have the chance to spot exuberant chimpanzee families swinging from the canopy. In the afternoon, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, rich in biodiversity with butterflies, plants, and abundant wildlife.
Bird enthusiasts will enjoy sightings of species like the Great Blue Turaco and the rare Papyrus Gonolek. The swamp is also home to Red Colobus monkeys and Sitatunga antelope. In the evening, enjoy drinks on the terrace, soaking in the stunning views. Overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Guesthouse.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, with an optional short walk in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains to take in the breathtaking views of this majestic mountain range. Alternatively, drive directly to the park and enjoy a game drive through the Kasenyi plains, a prime location for spotting lions and large herds of Uganda kob.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. The channel is home to one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa, along with elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife. Overnight at Parkview Lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, depart with your packed lunches for an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, then continue to the northern circuit of the Ishasha sector. Enjoy lunch by the Ishasha River before embarking on another game drive in the southern circuit, where you may spot the famous tree-climbing lions.
Afterward, continue your journey to Bwindi, with stunning views of the lush landscapes. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation for a relaxing evening. Overnight at Buhoma Community Haven Lodge.
Day :6 Gorilla Tracking
After an early breakfast, set off for your gorilla tracking adventure. Trekking through the steep, densely forested hills, you’ll eventually come across the gorillas camouflaged in the thick vegetation – an inspiring and privileged experience. The trek in Bwindi forest requires stamina, and it can take most of the day, but the reward of seeing the gorillas up close is unforgettable.

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe
Depart from Buhoma for your journey back to Entebbe. The drive takes about eight hours, offering scenic views of Uganda’s rolling hills and lush countryside along the way. You’ll pass through small villages, giving you a final glimpse of local life and culture.
Arrive in the evening for dinner at a local restaurant in Entebbe before heading to the airport for your departure flight back home. Take a moment to reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters and landscapes you’ve experienced over the past week.
